- Today, there are more than 285 million wireless subscribers in the U.S., which is 91% of the U.S. population. This is 9 out of every 10 people.
- Out of those 285 million callers there is over 6.1 billion minutes used per day.
- By the end of 2010 53% of companies deployed mobile phones to their employees.
- At the end of 2010 there were 6.5 trillion text (SMS) messages sent worldwide.
- In 2014, mobile internet usage will overtake desktop internet usage. Already in 2011, more than 50% of all “local” searches are done from a mobile device.
- It is estimated that in 2011, 7 trillion SMS messages will be sent worldwide.
